You are a leader and there is nothing more rewarding than sharing and helping others experience the wonders and beauty that are underwater.

Prerequisites:
PADI Rescue Divers who are at least 18 years old may enroll in the PADI Divemaster course. You also need to have:

Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (CPR and First Aid) training within the past 24 months.

A medical statement signed by a physician within the last 12 months.

At least 40 logged dives to begin the course and 60 dives to earn certification.

The PADI Divemaster course teaches you to be a leader and supervise dive activities. Through knowledge development sessions, waterskills exercises and workshops, and hands-on practical assessments, you develop the skills to organize and direct a variety of scuba diving activities. The goal of the course if to train divers to be well rounded with exemplary diving skills, supervisory and management skills, assist with scuba classes and be able to work anywhere in the world. You will accomplish this with workshops and working closely with real students taking scuba classes. Our programs will have you assisting with different instructors with different classes. This gives you experience with not only a variety of students, questions and problems but also different teaching styles and problem solving techniques.
The divemaster class is also a pre-requisite for those wanting to become a PADI scuba instructor. It can also qualify for ACE college credits – ask your instructor.
If you are needing more experience prior to starting the divemaster course we suggest the PADI Deep Diver, Search and Recovery Diver, Navigation and/or Night diver specialty courses along. These areas are widely used by divemaster and help to expand your abilities. They classes can be done during your divemaster trianing as well.
