RESCUE DIVER

Overview

Details

Rescue Diver is the ultimate goal of most recreational divers!  We have flexible scheduling options to get you certified and prepared for diver emergencies.  Your Rescue Diver course will begin with the PADI online eLearning program (included with your course).  We will then spend one day focusing on EFR (CPR/First Aid training) and two days of in-water rescue scenarios.

The goal of the class is to build your knowledge and skills to confidently respond to diving emergencies.  Often described as, "the most challenging" course in scuba, the class will test your limits as a diver.

We run classes frequently and can accommodate most schedules. Minimum age to start is 12 years old (under 16 need to have a parent or guardian present with them during the class).  Give us a call to get more information or sign up for class.

Course goals:

  • Review eLearning and have any questions answered before heading to the water.

  • Learn the limits of your dive certification and how you can advance when you are ready.

  • Safely learn the proper steps in responding to diver emergencies.

  • Confidently prepare yourself to be an Emergency First Responder.

  • Open water:  You spend two days in the open water practicing real-world rescue scenarios with an instructor.

Equipment needed: Full set of dive gear. It is important that students have their own gear at this level as fit is critical to comfort and safety. We have a wide selection at the store and offer a student discount. Rental packages are also available.

You should bring a towel, bathing suit, water and snacks as needed.

Transportation to and from the dive sites is not provided. For young people under 16, we will need to have a parent or guardian on-site or nearby.
